Stephan leads Group Functions Technology, the organization that provides the technology services for UBS Group Functions – Group Finance, Group Risk Control, Group Compliance, Regulatory and Governance, Group Legal, Group Human Resources and Group Corporate Services as well as Communications and Branding. Stephan is a member of the Group Operations & Technology Office (GOTO) Management Team, a sponsor of the UBS Distinguished Engineers framework, and the co-lead of one of the firm’s key AI initiatives. He is a Swiss national and based in Zurich. Prior to joining UBS, Stephan spent over 28 years at Credit Suisse and held various technology leadership roles including Group Chief Architect, Head of IT Security, Chief Architect Private Banking IT, and Head of Client Trading IT Private Banking.
